What is MP3+CDG?
A common digital karaoke song uses two matching files. The MP3 contains the audio while the CDG file contains the graphics used to display lyrics and karaoke cues.
For reliable playback the two components need to remain synchronized. KRXTOS treats the MP3 and CDG as a single karaoke item in the library.
Automatic file pairing
KRXTOS scans directories recursively and associates matching karaoke files automatically. This is especially useful when a collection contains many artists, folders and song libraries.
Once paired, the song can be controlled with normal play, pause, stop and seek operations.
From karaoke library to studio
The same MP3+CDG engine powers both the standalone Windows application and the KRXTOS VST3 instrument. That means a collection does not need a separate format when moving from rehearsal to Cubase.
